- Abstract (EN)
- The paper shows a research work to decentralize the learning factory Industry 4.0 production plant holistically using the IEC 61499 standard. The individual function blocks are interconnected at plant level to form an overall application. This can then be distributed to different hardware to supply the decentralized controllers with the sub-applications. Within the scope of this project, a first pilot application in IEC 61499 was designed to distribute a decentralized application topdown to different control systems which then communicate with each other and execute the individual aspects of the application. The communication between the individual systems is not cyclic as in classical automation technology according to IEC 61131, but event-driven. This type of application development is thus more oriented towards classic IT systems, so that this new architecture achieves better convergence of IT and OT systems in production and production can thus be digitized more easily. The decentralized application is distributed on different hardware to demonstrate the vendor independence of the solution. A web-based visualization that communicates with the individual stations of the plant via OPC UA complements the research work described.
